Milo Moiré (*1983) ist eine Schweizer Konzept- und Performancekünstlerin, die spezialisiert ist auf Aktperformances, Aktfotografie und Body Art. Zu ihren bekanntesten Werken gehört die Reihe “PlopEgg”, eine Performance die sie erstmals während Colone Art Fair in Köln 2014 zeigte: Aktionsmalerei, bei dem sie mit Farbe gefüllte Eier aus ihrer Vagina auf eine Leinwand stösst und so ein abstraktes Kunstwerk schafft. Zu ihren wichtigsten Projekten gehört “Mirror Box”. Moiré lief dabei 2016 durch die Innenstädte von Düsseldorf, Amsterdam und London, auschliesslich mit einer Spiegelbox bekleidet. Mit einem Megaphon machte sie auf sich aufmerksam und forderte dann Fremde auf, ihre Hände in den Kasten zu legen und 30 Sekunden lang entweder ihre Brüste oder ihre Vulva zu streicheln. Moiré positioniert sich bewusst an der Schnittstelle zwischen Kunst und Pornografie, die nackte Aufführung ihrer Werke laden Medien zur Zensur ein. Zu Moirés besonderen Einflüssen zählen Marina Abramović, Vallie Export oder Carolee Schneemann.
Milo Moiré (*1983) is a Swiss conceptual and performance artist who specializes in nude performances, nude photography and body art. Her best-known works include the “PlopEgg” series, a performance that she first showed during the Colone Art Fair in Cologne in 2014: action painting in which she pushes eggs filled with paint from her vagina onto a canvas, creating an abstract work of art. One of her most important projects is “Mirror Box”. In 2016, Moiré walked through the city centers of Düsseldorf, Amsterdam and London wearing nothing but a mirror box. She drew attention to herself with a megaphone and then asked strangers to place their hands in the box and fondle either her breasts or her vulva for 30 seconds. Moiré deliberately positions herself at the interface between art and pornography, the naked performance of her works inviting media censorship. Moiré's particular influences include Marina Abramović, Vallie Export or Carolee Schneemann.
